Arthur Deray
Ward
May 5, 1995 – April 13, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Arthur Ward, a beloved son, partner, father, brother, and friend.
Arthur was born on May 5, 1995, in Bakersfield, California, and was a man whose presence brought strength, love,
and support to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the
privilege of knowing him.
He was raised in a loving home by his mother, Jenaya Ward, and father, Gregory Ward, who instilled in him the
values of respect, loyalty, and compassion. Arthur carried those values with him throughout his life, becoming a
man who treated others with genuine care and dignity. He was one of many siblings Kamika Ward, Teressa Ward,
Jared Ward, Andrew Ward, Tyresha Ward, Jalen Ward, Ossirus Ward, and Na’Quilla Ward, and valued the closeness
they shared and the memories they created together. He also held a deep love for his extended family, including
his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Arthur was known for his kind and loving spirit. He was a true provider and a hard worker a “money maker” who
believed that success meant nothing if you couldn’t help others along the way. If Arthur was up, he made sure
the people around him were up too. He gave freely, without expecting anything in return, always willing to lend a
hand, share what he had, and uplift those in need. His generosity and selflessness left a lasting impact on his
family, friends, and community.
Arthur had a special passion for traveling, spending time with his family and friends, and trying different foods.
He enjoyed experiencing new places and making memories with the people he loved most. No matter where he
was, Arthur could always tell a good joke and bring a smile to your face. His sense of humor and warm personality
made people feel comfortable, happy, and appreciated.
Later in life, Arthur found love with Johnesha Avila, and together they built a family that meant everything to
him. In addition to his twin boys, Armanii and Amiir, he also embraced his bonus daughter, Jennessi Holmes, as his
own, loving and supporting her wholeheartedly. Arthur was a proud and devoted father to his children. They were
his world, his greatest motivation, and his deepest joy. Arthur was an amazing father who worked hard to provide
and to give his children the best life possible. He showed them love, strength, and what it means to always be
there for your family no matter what.
Arthur’s life was defined by love, loyalty, and generosity. He will be remembered for his big heart, his
determination, his laughter, and the way he always looked out for others. Though his time here was cut short, the
impact he made will live on through his children, his family, and everyone whose life he touched.
Arthur Ward will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His legacy will continue to live on in the
hearts of those who knew and loved him.
