Corbin Wade Thomasy Sr., a beloved father, mentor, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, in his hometown of Bakersfield, California. Born on May 26, 1953, Corbin lived a life rich with love and purpose that touched the hearts of many.
A devoted family man, Corbin is survived by his three children: Brandon Thomasy, Tanya Thomasy, and Brian Thomasy. He also leaves behind cherished memories of his late son Corbin Wade Jr., who departed this world four years ago. The loss of his wife Ann in 2010 left an indelible mark on Corbin's heart; together they built a loving home filled with laughter and faith.
Corbin’s passion for preaching the word of Jesus was evident to all who knew him. He dedicated himself to sharing hope and inspiration through faith-based teachings that resonated deeply within the community. His unwavering belief in the power of redemption guided countless individuals toward healing during their darkest moments.
In addition to being a spiritual leader, Corbin found profound fulfillment as a mentor within Narcotics Anonymous. His compassionate spirit provided solace to those struggling with addiction; he offered guidance not just as someone who had faced challenges but as someone who genuinely cared about each person's journey toward recovery. Many considered him more than just a mentor—they regarded him as family.
Throughout his life, Corbin cultivated relationships that transcended traditional boundaries; everyone he met felt welcomed into his expansive circle of love and support. Friends often remarked how easy it was to confide in him—his warm smile and listening ear made even strangers feel at home.
As we remember Corbin Wade Thomasy Sr., let us celebrate the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy rooted in kindness, compassion for others’ struggles—and above all else—the enduring message that love can heal even the deepest wounds. Though he may no longer walk among us physically, his spirit will forever guide those whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Rest well now dear father, brother and friend ; your light continues to shine brightly through your children and all whom you have inspired along this beautiful journey called life.
