Age 19

Keiah Mckindley White, departed this life on June 9, 2025, in Bakersfield, California, at the young age of 19 due to a preexisting medical condition.

Born on February 10, 2006, in Bakersfield, CA, where she grew up surrounded by a loving and supportive family. She attended Subaru Elementary School, Agapeland Christian Academy, Kern Middle School and Independence High School, where she flourished academically and socially. Keiah had recently graduated high school and was preparing to attend college in the fall with dreams of becoming a respiratory therapist and Barber, a reflection of her desire to help and care for others.

Keiah lived a life of joy and purpose. She loved basketball, found strength and community in her church, and cherished every moment spent with family and friends. Always the "life of the party," Keiah's exuberance lit up every room she walked into. She will be remembered for her loving heart, passionate spirit, strong will, protective nature, and boundless vibrancy.

Keiah's life was marked by incredible accomplishments that spoke to her leadership and enthusiasm. She proudly served in various school and community roles: Graduated High School Class of 2025, ASB Member, 8th Grade President, YWRAP Participant, Church Choir Member, School Link Crew Member, Women Empowerment Leadership Program, Black Student Union Member, Basketball Team Manager, and Rally Hype-Girl.

Keiah is survived by her loving parents, Tanesa Thomas and Lawrence White III (Raquel); her siblings, Lawrence Anthony White, Taizyal LaTreece White, and Lanayah Joy Geary; her beloved grandparents, Alice D Williams and Annette and J.R. White; as well as her dear niece Thailyn and nephew Demarques Turner Jr, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who adored her endlessly.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Pair Lee Madden McCaine and her great-aunt Linda Madden, both of whom welcomed her into eternity with open arms.

She touched many lives with her humor, support, and infectious energy. Her favorite saying, "I got you brother," became a symbol of her loyalty and unwavering support for others.

Keiah's radiant presence will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We will remember her not for how she left us, but for how she lived —fully, loudly, and with so much love. She left behind a legacy of light, leadership, and laughter.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who supported Keiah throughout her journey-her family, teachers, mentors, friends, and the entire community. Your love made her life richer and your kindness now brings comfort in this time of grief.
