Elisheva Emunah Israel

(LaRosha Fabre Cooper)

Jan 9, 1973- June 20, 2025

On June 20 Th, 2025, Our Beautiful mother, wife, and grandmother, LaRosha F. Cooper, passed

away after 52 remarkable years.

LaRosha was born January 9 th , 1973, at Kern General Hospital in Bakersfield, CA, to Marcell

Garvin II and Virgil Kelley. She grew up with three siblings, brothers Marcell and Tommie, and

sister Angelica. LaRosha grew up in Wasco, CA, playing volleyball while she attended Wasco

High School, graduating in 1991. Post graduation, LaRosha moved to Coalinga, CA, where she

pursued a career working for Pleasant Valley State Prison. During this time, she had four

children: Richard, Alanzo, Andromida, and Takaura. LaRosha moved back to Bakersfield in

2002 to be closer to family. LaRosha loved getting the family together for a meal every weekend.

She enjoyed camping, especially at Fish Creek, where the family would get eaten alive by

mosquitoes, and walking the beaches of Morro Bay after a deep-sea fishing trip, always

competing with everyone to win the jackpot. If she weren’t on vacation with the family, she

loved shopping.

In 2012, she married the love of her life, Shamir Israel, with whom she had an additional

three kids: sons, Simon, Jezreel, and daughter, Eliyanah. She loved being a mother, grandmother,

and a homemaker. She would homeschool her three younger children, loved spending precious

time with them, and her grandchildren. She loved all the noise in her home, the constant running,

yelling, and Nerf gun wars she would start. Then, stayed up late because the kids thought they

could negotiate their bedtimes. Elisheva loved going to Six Flags Magic Mountain, where she

would talk you into getting on the biggest roller coasters with her and laugh the whole time as

you were scared of every twist and turn. She enjoyed spending countless hours in deep

conversation with her kids, family, and friends. Discussing life and giving guidance where it was

needed.

In her later years, Elisheva enjoyed sewing and crocheting, reading, gardening, and

watching her shows. She never stopped shopping and couldn’t get enough time with her

grandchildren. Despite her health challenges, for the past four years of her life, she could not be

held back. She would grab Eliyanah or another kid/grandkid, a few oxygen tanks, and run the

streets. She even became a doula and loved anything revolving around childbirth.Elisheva was a devout Israelite and a pillar of her congregation.

Elisheva is preceded in death by her brothers Marcell, Tommie, and Edward, grandmother Rachel, and Cousin Terry. She is survived by her husband Shamir, parents Virgil

and Marcell, sister, Angelica McGregory, daughters Andromida, Takaura, Juliette, sons Richard, Alanzo, Anthony, and Jackson. Grandchildren: Sienna, Skylar, (Richard) Noah, Adalayah, Jonah, Anastasia,

(Andromida) Amelia, Alanzo Jr., Adrian (Alanzo) Zimaya (Takaura).
